After all my good intentions, I haven't managed to do much updating here since my launch at the first of July. I had hoped that leaving work to write full time would mean I'd be incredibly disciplined and productive. I have been productive, but disciplined . . . not so much. Still, I wouldn't give up writing and return to the corporate world for anything!

If you read my weblog regularly, then you know a lot of what's going on in my writing life, but I've added it all to the site pages, too. And if you do visit my weblog regularly, you know that I've been giving away copies of the Smithson Group books right and left! Since my editor has been sending me copies upon copies upon copies, I can't resist sharing all that wealth!

I have to say that I'm quite pleased with the way each of the Smithson stories turned out to have an individual voice. I feared that by writing them back to back and on an accelerated schedule would mean one would blend into the next and the lot would be indistinguishable. I'm happpy that the stories seem as individual as the characters - a fact driven home to me when I left THE BEACH ALIBI, the most character-driven for THE MCKENZIE ARTIFACT, the most action-oriented.

I've added several reviews to THE BANE AFFAIR page; the book is getting great response from readers and I'm so pleased. I've also launched the companion site to the Smithson Group series, a rather fun look into the files of SG-5. It's going to be a fun five months ahead! Check below, too, for the chats I have scheduled. Come and visit and let me know what you think of the stories!

Until next time . . . happy reading!
