Top 3 Songs That Get Stuck In Your Head!
Thanks to the current commercial for Mitsubishi Endeavor , my current earworm starts out: Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
Last night I watched THE LIFE OF DAVID GALE starring Verbal Kint and Tara Wilson. *grin* (And if I name a future character Berlin, you’ll know why!) First of all, the twist got me. I saw part of it coming but not the whole. They got me, and I loved it. (This is why I write character-driven books and leave the plot twists and turns to the masters.) The ending made perfect sense, especially since throughout the movie I never found David Gale to be an admirable or honorable character. And though his redemption worked for the plot, I’m not sure I bought it as character growth. Then again, if he’d been a more admirable character, I doubt he’d have made the choice to do what he did. I’m trying not to spoil the plot, but if you’ve seen this and want to discuss, comment via the link below and we can talk about it off this main page!
And when did Eugene Young start sleeping with Jamie Stringer. I’m sorry. That does not compute, and is the worst display of out-of-character writer manipulation I have ever seen! Eugene is intense and intelligent and focused and sexy as hell. Jamie is a ridiculous piece of ditzy fluff. Now, if he wanted to share his toothbrush with Tara, that I could understand. She’s hot. She has a brain. She’s also manipulative enough to think on her feet and give him a run for his money. David Kelley has strokes of genius (see: Alan Shore) but this Eugene Jamie thing is not one of them.
BTW, did I mention that I had the most amazing dream about sexy Andrew Savage?
One can assume from this blog entry that I have obviously overdosed on tv this last week!!!
My husband and I still “date” on Friday nights. Nothing exciting, just one night that is ours alone without me bitching about work or without any of our kids along (usually!). Time to enjoy one another and relax.
This past Friday night we went to dinner at Katy Mills Mall and then did a bit of shopping, replaced his phone at T-Mobile and checked in at Books A Million to see how I was doing with WICKED GAMES and JINGLE BELL ROCK.
So, imagine my surprise, after finally locating the romance section which has been moved since my last visit there, to find on the romance shelves a section devoted to releases by Blue Moon Books. Right there. Bottom shelf. Full view. Wow, was all I could think to say! No hiding behind brown paper covers or the sort of shelf guards that show only the titles of women’s magazines at check-out counters.
I think I was more excited to see the full frontal erotica *grin* than my own books on the shelves!
The full cover of INDISCREET! Don’t forget to click the “see larger photo” link beneath the cover for the full effect! (Of course, I’m being sneaky, because if you click here and go to Amazon then my “hits” will increase and I’ll look really popular!!!)
Also, those of you not wanting the trade-size issue of JINGLE BELL ROCK might actually be interested in the exclusive hardcover edition!
I’ll try to catch up with more goings-on soon, but it’s been a swamp of a month here at the writing / accounting office!
Just to make sure no one is left out of the fun, here is a link to MIND GAMES, the online serial I’ve written for eHarlequin as part of their ETERNALLY YOURS paranormal continuity story! And without further ado, let me introduce Nicolas Kane and Skye Deveaux!

Please stand by . . .
If you have been trying to access my gIRL-gEAR site, give it another day and it will be back up. Stupid technical glitch on this end as I changed hosting services!!
Apologies!!
Not really, of course, but it’s seemed that way the last couple of days. From the highest high, to the lowest low. Too many emotions to even know which ones I want to savor and live again!
A good agent is a wonderful thing to have. I don’t have a good agent. I have a goddess. Too many things I can’t speak of here, but spending the last two days with her mapping out my future and taking care of pressing issues . . . I can finally breathe again and I am loving putting words on the page.
Writing can be amazingly tough, but when it works it’s the most beautiful thing!
And since I had an amazing ephiphany tonight about my Brava hero (and this is what I love most about writing, having a plan comes together!), I thought I’d share the photos I’m using for my main characters.
