Friday is going to be a day of fun and prizes, but there are going to be RULES, so I want to post them here and now in advance. That will save me from having to explain tomorrow when I have no intention of being online, and save you from confusion in your rush to get your hands on all the goodies! Okay, they may not all be goodies, but hey. I do what I can! There will be books, and galleys, and more books, and a couple of other fun things, some readerly, some writerly. Here’s how it’s going to work.

There will be twelve giveaways between midnight Thursday, 8/30/07, and midnight Friday, 8/31/07 (all of this CDT). Some of them will be first come, first served. Some will include scavenger hunt questions. Some will be open to everyone and the winners names will be drawn on Monday, 9/3/07 at 8:00 p.m.ish CDT. This is why you need to read up on the details so as not to be disappointed to discover that you’re ineligible for some reason or another. Here goes.

1) Only one prize per IP addy / mailing addy / email addy. If you and your BFF are roomies, sorry. Only one prize to your house. And don’t enter yourself multiple times under multiple identities. You will win nothing if you do, and I will know.

2) Though there will be twelve prizes available, you can only put your name in the running for three. That’s it. Three. As I said above, some are instant win, some prizes will be awarded on Monday. Enter accordingly. And if you win an instant prize, you’re done.

3) If the item involves a scavenger hunt and you have to go out into the WWW to find the answer, I am final judge and jury on whether or not your answer is what I’m looking for. Read the questions carefully and be exact in your response. I’ll do my job and make sure the questions are clear.

4) I will not be online during all of this hullabaloo, so no emailing me for clarification on anything. No pleas to remove your name from one item because you want something else. Once you hit submit, that’s it. If you have questions, now is the time to ask.

5) If you win something that’s one of a kind and I find it on eBay for sale? You are banned from my site and contests FOREVAH!

Yeah, yeah, the banning thing is jokingly harsh, but cheating is not fair, taking advantage is not fair, and I’m all about the fair. So if you can live with all of that, then let the games begin! Uh, tomorrow, that is. In the meantime, turn up your volume really really LOUD and hit play!
