Oh, I love Greg Iles. (And Greg Rucka!) I’ve got about four of his monster tomes here waiting to be read. He’s SO good. SOO good.

I couldn’t find a new Michael Connelly for 2010 either, but you have to catch up on your Lee Child! Several of the most recent Reacher books have been great. Have you tried Greg Iles?

I enjoy Crais’, although they can be a little uneven. The Cole/Pike series overall is good, though.
Kerley is fab, set in Alabama (I think), and very dark in places. Has a bit of a Karin Slaughter feel sometimes. It’s worth starting with the first, as it’s a series.
Kernick is an English writer, I have no idea if he’s even sold overseas, but as I said, I don’t think the stories would travel very well.
I have just pre-ordered the next Karen Rose, as a treat to myself, too!

I noticed the reminder thing recently, I think it’s quite a recent introduction on the .co.uk site.

I’ve never been able to get into a Crais, though I have a couple. I’ll keep trying. Not familiar with Kernick or Kerley!

I have been known to accidentally REorder something because I’ve forgotten about the PREorder, but not too often. And Amazon tells you at the top of a book’s page if you’ve already purchased it, which is a reminder I’ve used often!

I tend not to pre-order months in advance, because I often forget and then order twice (doh!), although recently Amazon seems to be reminding me that I’ve already bought something, so maybe that will change.

I’m up to date with Lee Child, so he’s on my list, as is Robert Crais and Harlan Coben, plus Simon Kernick, but his books are quite ‘English’, so I don’t know how much international appeal they’d have. I’m disappointed that I can’t see anything new from JA Kerley yet.

I’ve never pre-ordered months in advance. I usually do it weeks in advance. I’m looking forward to Kristan Higgins’s new book, too. I first heard of her from you on this website a long time ago.
