2009 Reading Challenges
eHarlequin Challenge
I love the eHarlequin challenge because Harlequin will match the number of books read (up to 100K I believe) and donate them to the National Center for Family Literacy. Half the books must be Harlequin releases, whether from one of the category lines or a single title imprint (HQN, MIRA, etc.), but I’ve got plenty of both here and won’t even have to shop – which should make the husband VERY happy. I’m on the Red Hot Readers team (we agree to read 100 books as a group) and for now my teammates are Lori Borrill, Elle Kennedy, Juliet Burns, Tracy Wolff, Loreth Anne White, Laurie Gold, and Nicole Hulst.

New Author Challenge
I can overlap challenges with these titles, and I have umpty billion new to me authors on my shelves (and floor, and in boxes) so I’m committing to reading 25 of them for Literary Escapism’s New Author Challenge.

999 Challenge
For this challenge, I’m going to read 9 books in 9 categories. (Yes, I’m scared. That’s 81 books.) I’ve compiled categories that allow me to read books I already have and winnow down my shelves. And I’ll need to enter these into my Library Thing account that I haven’t touched in almost two years. Bad Alison.

Read Your Own Books Challenge
For this one, I resolve to read 60 books from my shelves, and allowing for overlap, most everything I read for the other challenges will apply here.
