You know, I’ve always wanted to be a Mira author. Who knew it would happen . . . in Germany!
I think this Weiber after work is BOUND TO HAPPEN, though it could be BTH and ALL TIED UP in an anthology. I can’t tell from the copy!

Big congrats Alison!
It’s an anthology of both Bound to happen and All tied up. The release date will be in June.
Do you know that the line that your book is published under is the New York Besteller authors line?

I saw that, LOL! Good portent for my future!

That is awesome Alison and two of my favorite stories from you. I am going to Germany in the Spring to stay with my husbands family for a bit and I will try to buy those while I am there. I love to read in German (to keep fresh it is USE it or Lose it!) but sometimes the only books here in the States I can get are boring or hard for me to get into :(
Now I know what to look for on my next trip :)

I should also say that as a teenager some of the first Romance (adult kind) I read were in German. I did a year abroad as an exchange student and my host sister and her friend read them alot and I join in. Talk about expanding ones use of another language. Way more fun than a text book!

Susan – That is so cool! I’ve been listening to my Cajun soundtrack and loving the songs sung in French, and it makes me want to learn the language!

I have to say that being able to speak/read in another language is cool and while I am not a writer, I have to think that learning a language helps you appreciate your mother tongue in a new way. The sublty, the way we speak, the way we think. I “think” differently in German sometimes. Once I have been in country for a bit, I sometimes dream in German. Weird, but language is so complex and important.
I say go for it. French is such a rich language. From what I have heard from friends it is easier for an Engish speaker to learn verses some others.
I would like to learn Spanish. My daughter is a Dora fan and is so disappointed that her father and I cannot speak Spanish. What can I say, we need a show for the preschool set about Dieter vs. Diego – then I would cool.
